Welcome back. To the feeling you know so well. Finally thought you found a way out but just as quickly as your potential escape appeared it faded away. Leaving you lost in darkness. It’s like being trapped inside a cave that’s completely dark. Always moving around but never finding your escape. Sometimes you see a light but before you can get to it it’s gone forever

Karma.

Karma is something that most people believe in. You gain good karma when you do good things for others, and you gain bad karma when you do bad things to others.  But what if you’re only doing good things to people to gain good karma? Do you still get some good karma? Or does the good deed gain you nothing because of the greed behind it? Does doing something good purely because you want to make people happy or help someone cancel any bad karma that you have built up? And if so does that mean the opposite is true as well?

I’ve done my fair share of bad things to build up some bad karma. But I’ve also done my fair share of good things for people. I do not do things to try to change my karma system, I simply enjoy seeing people happy. But if the karma system is real then why does it seem like I always get the short end of the stick? Do I have so much bad karma, that no matter how nice and helpful I am to people, I still can’t catch a break of something good?

And there’s the dilemma, I want something good to happen, but I don’t do good things in order for it to happen. Is wondering if something good will happen for you later in life because you did something good the same thing as doing something good for someone IN ORDER TO have something good happen?
